Columbia – Serious Injuries After Crash
A motorcycle rider was seriously hurt in an accident in Columbia late Sunday evening.
At around 10:20 p.m., a motorcycle was traveling east on Route 66 (Middletown Road) when it collided with a Honda Accord traveling west and attempting to make a left turn onto Pine Street. The collision threw the rider off the motorcycle, sustaining serious injuries in the process. The driver of the car also sustained injuries. Both motorists were taken to area hospitals for treatment. State police are currently investigating the accident and encouraging possible witnesses to contact them as soon as possible.
