Colchester – Vehicle Accident

A car crashed into a pole in Colchester yesterday.

State and local officials were dispatched to Route 16 and immediately blocked off the roadway at its intersection with Cabin Road. According to responders, a car swerved off its proper lane and crashed into a utility pole, resulting in heavy damage and injuries. Based on evidence already collected, no other vehicle was involved in the incident. All motorists involved in the crash has since been tended to by responding EMS personnel. It took road crews several hours to clear the site of all obstructions — the scene was cleared Tuesday evening. The crash is currently being investigated, and officials will release more information as necessary.
