Cheshire – Vehicle Crashes Into Pole
Injuries were reported after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Cheshire yesterday evening.
At approximately 7:00 p.m., a vehicle with one occupant was traveling on Highland Avenue (Route 10) when it swerved off the roadway near Blacks Road, crashing into a utility pole fronting Richard Chevrolet and Riverhouse Catering. The collision split the pole, while the driver sustained injuries. Authorities blocked off Route 10 between Schoolhouse Road and Industrial Avenue to allow crews from Eversource to replace the damaged pole, as well as allow paramedics to tend to the injured motorist. The incident is currently under investigation. Officials have yet to identify the victim and will do so when appropriate.
