Cheshire – Road Blockage Following Crash

A section of I-84 was blocked off following a crash in Cheshire yesterday.

Authorities dispatched emergency responders to I-84 West after receiving reports of an accident that occurred between Exits 26 and 25A. According to officials, two vehicles collided in the area, resulting in injuries and blockage of the left lane. No one had to be extricated and EMS crews were on-site to tend to everyone injured in the crash, though no word yet if anyone was transported to the hospital. Road crews were eventually able to clear the left lane several hours after the crash occurred. The incident is now under active investigation. Authorities will release more info, including the identities of those involved, when appropriate.

Accidents still occur frequently on major thoroughfares such as I-84. Authorities are constantly working on improving safety on all roads in the state, and being able to investigate incidents and identify their causes are important aspects of this process. Negligence is of particular relevance to motorists injured in accidents because it may, under appropriate circumstances, allow them to file for damages as an effective way of finding closure.
