Cheshire – Highway Crash

An accident blocked off several lanes of the highway in Cheshire yesterday.

Officials received reports of a crash on the eastbound side of I-84 and immediately dispatched responders to the scene. The incident reportedly occurred between Exits 26 and 27 and involved two vehicles. The crash resulted in injuries and blocked off the right and center lanes of the highway. Road crews have since cleared the area of obstructions, and medical personnel have since tended to everyone affected by the accident. The crash is currently under active investigation. Officials have yet to identify anyone and will do so, as well as provide other info, when appropriate.

Clearing road blockages as quickly as possible is important to authorities so that heavy delays and the risk of more accidents can be mitigated. Obviously, this can be challenging to achieve, but crash responders would typically have the needed resources to do so. These things said, people who are responsible for these incidents have to be apprehended and made liable for their actions. Both the state and victims will have legal options at their disposal, more so in cases where DUI, reckless behavior or negligence are involved.
