Brooklyn – Fatalities In Midnight Crash
Three teens were involved in a truck accident in Brooklyn early Monday morning.
Authorities were alerted to the incident and, at approximately 12:15 a.m., dispatched firefighters and paramedics to North Society Road near Grass Road. The crash involved a Ford F-150 pickup truck with three occupants. According to initial reports, the truck was traveling north when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck swerved off the roadway, crashing into a guardrail before falling down an embankment. The vehicle also caught fire after coming to a stop. 17-year-old Brenna Ann Larson and 17-year-old Shawnna Wojnowski, both students at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School in Danielson, sustained critical injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. 17-year-old Ashley Adamo sustained serious injuries and was brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island. Officials have yet to identify the driver of the vehicle and are currently investigating the incident. A section of North Society Road was blocked off following the crash to allow investigators to collect evidence. This post will be updated as soon as authorities release more information.
Officials have yet to find evidence suggesting that another vehicle was involved in this crash. That said, investigators will consider and study all factors, including possible product defects/vehicle failures, before making any conclusion. Suffice it to say, any form of negligence not associated with any of the victims may allow their families to pursue certain legal options that can help them find closure.
