Brookfield – Charges After Pedestrian Incident

A negligent homicide charge has been filed against a woman who was arrested in Brookfield last Thursday.

75-year-old Linda Pendergast of Brookfield was arrested last Thursday related to a crash that occurred on October 19, 2018. 58-year-old Harold Trafton of Danbury was on Whisconier Road that day. Pendergast was driving her car when she tried to avoid a trailer that was offloading equipment. She hit Trafton in the attempt. Trafton sustained serious injuries in the accident and was immediately transported by respondents to Danbury Hospital where he eventually died.

In many road incidents similar to this, authorities always investigate the possibility of negligence, DUI or reckless behavior. In cases where these factors can be established, aggrieved parties or their families can file for damage/compensation claims with the help of expert legal counsel.
