Bristol – Serious Injuries After Crash
A man was critically injured in a road accident in Bristol early yesterday morning.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Collins Road and Farmington Avenue (Route 6) at approximately 4:30 a.m. According to Bristol Police, one vehicle was involved in the accident and its driver sustained critical injuries in the crash. He has since been taken to the hospital for treatment. A section of Farmington Avenue was cordoned off by local officials immediately after the accident. Authorities are still investigating the case and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
Single-vehicle accidents are investigated by authorities to determine if factors such as DUI, driver negligence or reckless behavior are involved. If these factors are eliminated, product/vehicle defects may also be considered. This is noteworthy because injured parties in these types of accidents can file for damages or compensation under the appropriate circumstances.
