Bristol – DUI Case Update

A motorist suspected of DUI appeared in court yesterday.

On August 24, 23-year-old Clayton Nogiec of Delmar Drive was driving his 2019 Nissan Rogue on Jerome Avenue when he struck a senior pedestrian near Swanson Drive. Nogiec fled the area immediately following the incident and was later apprehended after witnesses sent reports regarding his damaged vehicle. According to officials, Nogiec was under the influence when the crash occurred and had a history of similar behavior prior to this event. He was eventually charged with DUI and second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, among other charges, and appeared in court yesterday to enter his plea. His next court date is scheduled for November 27.
