Bridgeport – Woman Found With Gunshot Injuries
A woman was injured in a shooting incident in Bridgeport late yesterday afternoon.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., a ShotSpotter notification came in from the vicinity of 1600 Barnum Avenue. Officers were immediately dispatched to the area and discovered a female victim who was injured after getting shot in the back by still-unidentified assailants. Shell casings were recovered at the scene, confirming the location of the assault. The victim was quickly tended to by medical personnel, though no word yet on hospitalization or her current status.
