Bridgeport – Pedestrian Injured After Road Shooting
A woman from Bridgeport was seriously injured when she was shot last Wednesday.
At approximately 3:10 p.m., a pedestrian was walking near 28 Benham Avenue when she was shot in the buttocks. Respondents arrived at the scene and immediately transported the victim to St. Vincent’s Medical Center for treatment. The shooter remains unidentified, and Bridgeport Police is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
Injuries sustained by responsible people on pedestrian lanes or crosswalks are grounds for damage/compensation claims. In this example, the victim sustained a gun injury. If the suspect is apprehended and declared by authorities to be negligent, DUI or illegally possessing a gun, then it strengthens a personal injury case against the suspect.
