Bridgeport – Pedestrian Hit-And-Run
A pedestrian was hit by a passing vehicle in Bridgeport late yesterday evening.
Authorities dispatched responders to State Street at approximately 10:34 p.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian accident near Norman Street. According to officials, a pedestrian was injured after getting hit by a car. Instead of stopping and assisting the hurt pedestrian, the vehicle quickly left the scene. The victim has since been tended to by medical personnel. Authorities are now looking for the hit-and-run driver or vehicle and are asking anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
Instances of hit-and-run will only aggravate cases against suspects/culprits in pedestrian accidents. If investigators handling these cases discover reckless behavior, DUI or negligence, those responsible might also face civil cases filed by victims/aggrieved parties with the help of expert legal counsel, aside from criminal charges filed by the state.
