Bridgeport – Multi-Vehicle Highway Crash

State and local officials were alerted to a highway crash in Bridgeport yesterday morning.

At 7:55 a.m., firefighters and paramedics responded to an area near the Route 8 and 25 highway split after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle collision. According to responders, the crash resulted in injuries and blocked off three lanes of the highway, resulting in heavy delays. Authorities have yet to specify the number of vehicles and motorists involved in the incident but have already assisted everyone affected. This is a developing event and the crash is currently under investigation. Updates will be provided as soon as more info becomes available.

Officials are constantly monitoring traffic on all highways/roads in the state and are ready to respond to any incident. That said, it’s still challenging to process and clear these crash sites, which makes identifying their causes very important if future incidents are to be avoided. Establishing accountability not only allows authorities to bring culprits to justice, but also enable victims to pursue legal options that can help them cope and find closure.
