Bridgeport – Motorist And Officer Injured In Crash
A vehicle struck a police cruiser in Bridgeport late Friday evening.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of State Street and Park Avenue. According to officials, a car driven by a female driver hit a police cruiser in the area. Both drivers sustained injuries in the crash and were taken by responders to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment. The officer has since been released and is recovering. No word yet on the status of the female motorist. The incident is currently under investigation. Authorities will release more info when appropriate.
