A man was trapped after a motorcycle crash in Bridgeport yesterday.
A motorcycle collided with a minivan at around 12 noon, leaving the motorcyclist trapped under the rear bumper of the vehicle. The accident occurred at the intersection of Fairfield and Hancock Avenues. Authorities arrived at the scene to assist and reported that the trapped man was able to free himself after several minutes. He sustained minor injuries in the collision. Identities of those involved have yet to be disclosed and officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
It goes without saying that riding a motorcycle carries more risk than driving a car. That said, incidents like this need to be investigated thoroughly to determine if negligence can be considered a cause. If that can be established, injured parties can seek the help of expert legal counsel to file a compensation/damage claim.
