A high-speed crash in Bridgeport yesterday evening trapped two motorists inside their car.
The accident occurred on Fairfield Avenue, near its intersection with Clinton Avenue. According to authorities and witnesses, a white Audi was traveling on Fairfield Avenue when it crashed into a red Hyundai. Immediately after the collision, a driver was observed trying to flee the accident scene. Police were able to apprehend the suspect a short time later. Two people had to be extricated from their vehicle by emergency crews — it took them around half an hour to do so. Everyone injured has since been transported to the hospital by EMS crews. The identities of those involved have yet to be disclosed pending an investigation into the cause of the incident.
It goes without saying that injuries resulting from reckless behavior or negligence can entitle parties to damage/compensation under appropriate circumstances. Instances of hit-and-run will only strengthen these cases/claims.
