Bridgeport – Delays After Highway Crash
Authorities responded to a highway crash in Bridgeport yesterday morning.
Three vehicles were reportedly involved in a crash that occurred at around 10:15 a.m. on the southbound side of Route 8, just before Exit 3 (Main Street). Fire and EMS teams were requested on-site to assist affected motorists. Two lanes were blocked off temporarily following the incident, resulting in moderate delays in the area. Road crews have since cleared all lanes of obstructions, and authorities are now investigating the cause of the crash. Officials have yet to identify anyone and will do so when appropriate.
This crash occurred in a particularly accident-prone section of Route 8/25, and as such, have to be processed and cleared quickly to avoid additional incidents or injuries.
