Bridgeport – Child Pedestrian Hit By Car

A child was hit by a car that fled from the scene in Bridgeport yesterday evening.

At approximately 9:12 p.m., authorities were alerted to an incident that occurred in front of 3186 East Main Street and immediately sent medical personnel to the area. According to reports, a 6-year-old child was hit by a vehicle, whose driver then fled the area. EMS crews quickly arrived at the scene and have since tended to the victim’s injuries, although the child’s current status has yet to be disclosed. Officials are now investigating the accident and looking for the hit-and-run suspect/vehicle. They are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them as soon as possible.
