Bridgeport – Arrest Made In Fatal Intersection Crash
A motorist was just arrested in connection with an intersection collision that killed a Bridgeport resident.
Last Wednesday, 50-year-old Peter Tsimbidaros, an attorney, was driving when he was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Ellsworth Street and Fairfield Avenue. Tsimbidaros was immediately hospitalized but eventually succumbed to his injuries on Thursday. 50-year-old Keith Commerford was driving the second vehicle and was also hospitalized following the collision. After a thorough investigation, a warrant was issued against Commerford and he was arrested last Friday. He is currently facing charges of DUI and second-degree manslaughter, among other violations, and is scheduled to be arraigned today.
Regardless of circumstances, DUI is a serious offense and warrants strict action against liable parties. As an example of negligent behavior, it important to take note of the legal avenues victims or their families may explore in these cases.
