Branford – Motorcycle Accident On Highway
A section of I-95 crossing Branford was closed following an accident yesterday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the northbound lanes of I-95 after authorities received reports of a crash between Exits 54 and 55. According to officials, a car and a motorcycle figured in a collision that resulted in injuries. This forced road crews to close the left lane of the highway while they assisted those involved in the incident. The scene has since been cleared, though authorities are still investigating the crash. More updates will be released as they become available.
Highway accidents tend to result in heavy damage and serious injuries. Suffice it to say, motorcycle operators have a much higher chance of sustaining injuries in these incidents, so identifying crash culprits/causes is imperative. Establishing accountability has a secondary benefit: it enables victims of these unfortunate events to file for damages as deemed appropriate by their legal counsel.
