Branford – Crash Involving Cruiser With Injuries
A motorist crashed into a police cruiser in Branford last Wednesday evening.
Officer O’Connor of Branford Police was patrolling Shore Drive (Route 142) at approximately 11:00 p.m. when a vehicle driven by an allegedly drunk person crashed into the cruiser. 30-year-old Joseph O’Keefe of New Haven was taken into custody by authorities and is now facing charges of DUI and failure to drive right. Officer O’Connor sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
