Avon – Pedestrian Injured In Accident
An employee of All Waste, Inc. was hit by a vehicle in Avon early yesterday morning.
At approximately 5:00 a.m., authorities were alerted to the incident and dispatched emergency crews to the intersection of Arch and West Avon Roads. According to responders, a worker of All Waste, Inc. was assisting a driver trying to back up a pickup truck to an assigned location when a passing vehicle hit him. The driver of the vehicle reportedly saw the reversing truck but failed to notice the pedestrian beside it. The victim sustained serious injuries and was brought to the hospital for treatment. All parties involved stayed at the scene and are cooperating with officials. Authorities have yet to identify anyone and will release more info as their investigation progresses.
