Ansonia – Pedestrian Incident

A pedestrian was injured in an incident in Ansonia early Friday evening.

At 6:34 p.m., reports came in of an injured pedestrian in the vicinity of 150 Wakelee Avenue. Responders dispatched to the area discovered a person complaining of torso pain after being struck by a passing vehicle. The victim was quickly tended to by medical personnel, though authorities have yet to disclose his/her current status, as well as the whereabouts of the striking vehicle. Many injuries sustained in pedestrian incidents are insidious in nature and may manifest days or even weeks post-crash. This highlights the importance of providing effective care/treatment to crash victims, as well as giving them sufficient opportunities to cope after these unfortunate situations. In some cases, particularly those where negligence is suspected, victims may also have the opportunity to file claims against culprits. These options can be discussed by personal injury experts, so it’s always advisable to consult them post-incident.
